As 2012 draws to a close, I was just thinking about some of my favorite success stories from the year, and THIS is definitely one of them. With a cat, a dog, and a baby on the way, first-time buyers Brian and Randi had the maturity and patience to wait for their “just-right” home. They worked hard for months to diligently save-up the needed funds for their down payment. Then, they found a GREAT home situated in a super school district, and their monthly payment is barely more than their rent had been!

In my line of work, it is SO satisfying when a plan comes together, and I know that they’ll be happy raising their family in their new home for years to come.

I’m proud of them – they set their goal and WENT FOR IT. Where are YOU going in 2013?

The right team makes all of the difference

Helping connect customers with the right vendors and contractors every day is an important part of what I do as an Agent. The right team makes all of the difference, and I found that out first-hand recently when I engaged painters, carpet cleaners, lawn professionals, etc. to help Aggie and I prep our personal home to market it for lease. We didn’t “pull back the curtain” until everything was attractive and READY.

It leased in just 7 days for a great, win-win rate! Success!

Very different price points but with striking similarities

So, over the past three or four days, I’ve had the privilege of working with a couple of great clients who are shopping at very different price points for their next home. I showed one of them this home in SE Fort Worth which is priced at about $55K:


I showed a different client the following home in Argyle, which is priced at $980K:


Want to know what’s interesting about both of these clients?  Their goals are actually very similar and my approach with each is similar, too.  First, they want a place to call home that fits their needs, wants, and budget.  My approach?  LISTEN, and then work hard to connect each of them with some great homes while honoring their budget and wish list as much as possible.

One small (techno) step for my Dad...

My Dad is in his 70’s and loves old cars and antique stuff, so he’s often a late adopter when it comes to technology. It wasn’t too terribly long ago that I received the great news that Dad and Mom had taken the leap and bought separate mobile phones (previously they’d just shared one phone). The next milestone happened a couple of months ago when I received my first-ever text message from Dad.

The latest? A couple of days ago dad sent me this photo of their new llama baby via text after I told him that he could simply shoot a photo of their latest addition with his phone and text it to me.  😉

He’s very swiftly moving into the 21st century now, huh?
