How Do YOU Cope When The Weather Is Yucky Outdoors?

How Do YOU Cope When The Weather Is Yucky Outdoors?

Well, we’ve had downright frigid and unpleasant weather several times this winter here in N. Texas (most recently the snow yesterday). How do YOU cope when it’s yucky outdoors? Hot cocoa, a fire, bunny slippers, and jammies? 😉

A Tour of Bishop Arts District in Dallas in 30 Seconds

Over the weekend, my wife and I decided to grab some (amazing) Tex-Mex at one of our new favorite restaurants in Bishop Arts District. El Corazon de Tejas features the BEST chicken enchiladas and homemade corn tortillas on the planet! Afterward, we toured some of the nearby neighborhood and viewed a few of the currently-available properties.

Bishop Arts is a great historic neighborhood about 10 minutes southwest of downtown Dallas in Oak Cliff. It features great parks, historic homes, art, shops, and dining! My clients rave about the “town within the city” feel and great architecture. Check it out for yourself by starting your own property search by clicking HERE.

Give me a shout at ANY time – I’d be honored to be of help!

Check out my 30-second video tour with highlights from our afternoon. Enjoy!

Rising Rental Rates Are Turning Many Renters Into Homeowners

Rising Rental Rates Are Turning Many Renters Into Homeowners

Well, I helped one of my clients find a home to lease last year. They contacted me recently to say that they’re now very ready to buy a home. The number one reason? Their rent keeps going up, so they began evaluating how much home that they could purchase for virtually the same monthly amount. With today’s low mortgage loan interest rates factored-in, many of my clients are surprised to find just how affordable home ownership can be!

Here’s an article about the rent affordability crisis in the U.S.  Interesting reading!

So, if you’re currently leasing and would like to evaluate your options, just click HERE to begin your property search. Of course, I’m happy to answer ALL of your home ownership questions – I’ve helped so many buyers achieve their goals of home ownership over the past several months. Will YOU be next?

Call or text at any time: (972) 693-5658. Looking forward to hearing from you.  Happy house hunting!

It Would NOT Be Thanksgiving Without PIE

It Would NOT Be Thanksgiving Without PIE

When I was a kid, my stay-at-home Mom made the most awesome pies from scratch, so I’m officially SPOILED – desserts have to be really GOOD in order to get my attention. So, in the Bishop Arts District (Dallas) last weekend, my wife & I visited Emporium Pies. I had the Cloud Nine (caramel and butterscotch pudding with brown sugar merengue). Wow! By the way, their second location just opened in downtown McKinney, and you can even order online on the website just in time for Thanksgiving feasting.

Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with amazing PIE & good conversation! Enjoy every minute of it!

Have you been to the Texas Theatre?

Have you been to the Texas Theatre?

My wife and I recently attended an independent film premiere at the Texas Theatre in old downtown Oak Cliff – Dallas. This place has it all – great deco style, popcorn, treats, and even a full bar!

Built in 1931, it became famous in 1963 when Lee Harvey Oswald ducked-in without paying and was arrested there for the assassination of President Kennedy.

I’d love to hear about some of YOUR favorite spots around town. Give me a shout!
