Have a great day, everyone!
Over the weekend, my wife and I decided to grab some (amazing) Tex-Mex at one of our new favorite restaurants in Bishop Arts District. El Corazon de Tejas features the BEST chicken enchiladas and homemade corn tortillas on the planet! Afterward, we toured some of the nearby neighborhood and viewed a few of the currently-available properties.
Bishop Arts is a great historic neighborhood about 10 minutes southwest of downtown Dallas in Oak Cliff. It features great parks, historic homes, art, shops, and dining! My clients rave about the “town within the city” feel and great architecture. Check it out for yourself by starting your own property search by clicking HERE.

My wife and I along with our friend Dani took a quick day-trip on Monday to get out of town for a bit. The adventure took us to Forney, TX for some down-home BBQ and antique / funky stuff shopping at Caspar and Gerard’s Antiques Corp. They have so much cool merchandise there – it’s a bit boggling. Also, prices were reasonable in comparison with the Deep Ellum or Lakewood shops that we’ve visited before in Dallas. They have a car called a Trabant sitting out front – an interesting piece of German history!
What did we purchase on this excursion? A vintage German trash can to use for storage and some heavy iron letters to display on the wall in our home office.
I made a quick slideshow of our day, so take a look. I was able to be a back seat driver and get some work done on the way.
Great day! Where are some of your favorite day trip destinations?
Did you know that most of the Metroplex has now migrated from being a buyer’s market to being a neutral or seller’s market? DFW real estate is always a trip! Check out this quick video where I explain more, and let me know if you’d like the stats for your part of town!
